04/19: Mental Health and Sexual Assault Awareness- Speaking Engagement, Abilene Christian University
This event will unpack the taboo of practicing transparency and vulnerability with self, peers, and in communities. The purpose is to empower each person that their experiences are valid, and learn strategies on how to seek help to survive in a healthy state.
04/19: “Café Conversation”: Suicide Awareness and Mental Health- Speaking Engagement, Abilene Christian University
Panel will discuss the stigma involved receiving help and how suicide begins. Participants will learn how to cultivate skills for self-efficacy, as well as assist friends and peers who made be struggling with suicide.
03/19: “Loving My Body”: Discussing Women’s Health- Speaking Engagement/Workshop, Abilene, Texas
Students will learn about positive women health regimen, how physical health effects mental and emotional health, and ways to promote empowerment and education about maintaining healthiness.
03/19: Identity in Women: Women’s Conference- Speaking Engagement/Workshop, Abilene Christian University
Speaker will lead interactive session on loving themselves and cultivating self-identity and worth through emotional purity, reflection, and connectedness with other women.
03/19: “This is My Beauty”- Event/Workshop, Abilene, Texas
As society strives to define standards of beauty, women are prepared to take this back. This photography event will capture the raw and unique thing that makes each woman beautiful and build community love and transparency.
02/19: “Black is…” Expression of Black Experiences in Higher Education- Event, Abilene Christian University
Students will participate in an intimate conversation of sharing personal experiences of racism in academic settings to promote healing and connectedness through storytelling.
01/19:Cultivating Your Strengths: Executive Strength Coaching- Coaching, Abilene Christian University
Executive team will learn about their strengths, as well as how to cultivate a healthy team dynamic and develop excellence in management and implementation. Coaching will help to understand personal value and how it contributes to self-efficacy, as well as the efficacy of the team.
01/19:Backs Against the Wall: The Howard Thurman’s Story- Panel Discussion about Addressing Current Racism and Promoting Community Change- Speaking Engagement, Abilene Christian University
Using the recently debuted film on Howard Thurman, MLK’s mentor, panel will discuss how racism and discrimination are present today, as well as strategies to invoke justice.
01/19: Reflection on MLK: How MLK’s Words Impact Current Social Justice, Speaking Engagement, Abilene Christian University
Reflections from “I’ve Been to the Mountaintop” speech invokes the conversation on how his words correlate with the identity of social justice today. Speaker will discuss the gaps in the promotion justice, and strategies for all to be involved in creating an inclusive society.
01/19: Black History Month Panel- Speaking Engagement, Abilene Christian University
Panel will discuss the barriers of being young and black to offer advice and support on building confidence as a black person. Students will also strategies of navigating white-dominant environments to achieve academic and professional success.

Participants will learn about the potential barriers of being a minority in professional settings, and gain skills and tools to present professionally, yet authentically.

Participants will learn the theory of self-perception and biases, sociological imagination, cultural humility, and multicultural exploration to exercise effective methods of engagement with the student population.

Presenter will discuss personal story on building self-empowerment and resilience through traumatic life trajectory and sharing ways that other can be their most healthy and authentic selves.
01/18: Cultural Competency Training for Faculty and Staff of HBCU’s- Training, Lincoln University in Jefferson City
Participants will learn the theory of sociological imagination, cultural competencies, and diverse populations to exercise effective methods of intervention with the student population.
11/17: “Let’s Talk with Lincoln University Police Department: Fishbowl Activity” featuring Campus Police- Event, Lincoln University in Jefferson City
Students and members of LUPD discuss the concerns of criminal activity on campus and collaboratively create solutions towards building a safer campus.
09/17:“Is Race Black and White?: A Candid Discussion Between Black and White Students”- Event, Lincoln University in Jefferson City
Students collectively discuss the impact of racism from both the black and white perspective to gain commonality and create a space of empathetic understanding of diverse experiences of racial interactions.
04/17: “HAIR: Social and Political Effects of Ethnic Hair”- Event, Lincoln University in Jefferson City
Students dialogue about the social and political advantages and barriers based on the appearance of hair in different cultures.
03/17:“Teaching While White: A Candid Conversation Between Black Students and Their White Professors”-Event, Lincoln University in Jefferson City
Students and Faculty dialogue about the difficulties and benefits of attending a Historically Black University with the experience of having a low number of black professors and black curriculum.
